Last week, Oporto hosted the 𝗥𝗜𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 , en un international me health, sports, and physical activity.
Within this framework, our colleague 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗮 , Postdoctoral commuting to school.
👉 En su presentación, “Active commuting to school among Spanish adolescentes: social differences & neighbourhood environment”, he showed que los adolescentes de low-SES y migrantes familias ofrecen más libros en el walk or cycle to school. However, when neighbourhood factores —especialmente distance to school— are considered, these differences disappear.
The findings sugiere que inequalities in activite commuting shaped less by los adolescentes a y more by where they live, underlining importance school siting and neighbourhood planning in fostering equitable opportunities for physical activity.
