In this first video of the Urban Mapping for Active Mobility course, the main topics to be addressed in the different sessions will be introduced, ranging from the description of active mobility itself to a brief overview of the main indicators.

Introduction to Active Mobility
The 15-Minute City
We delve into the first indicator: the 15-minute city. Firstly, the indicator and its variables will be defined. Additionally, for better understanding, various use cases will be presented for both urban planning and the real estate sector. Next, case studies from the four cities analyzed—Barcelona, Granada, Palma, and Valencia—will be presented.
Cyclability
In this second session of the course, we delve into the explanation of the remaining active mobility indicators. This specific session focuses on the cyclability indicator. The structure of the presentation will follow the same format as the 15-minute city indicator: first, the indicator, its origin, and variables will be described, followed by a discussion of case studies analyzed within the group.
Urban Densities for Walkability
In this second session of the second day, we continue to advance with the explanation of active mobility indicators, focusing on urban densities for walkability, the most accessible, economically viable, and sustainable way to move.
Urban Vitality
This third session of the course will feature the explanation of the last two indicators, with a focus on urban vitality. An explanation of a case study will also be included to understand the application of the indicator.
Urban Green Spaces
Finally, this session concludes the explanation of the calculated indicators with a description of urban green spaces. As with the other sessions, the training will include a description of the indicator and a case study to understand its implementation.
Course Epilogue
In this final video of the course, the contents of the previous sessions are summarized to conclude the training. Additionally, a section on alternative methodologies for studying active mobility, such as walk and ride-along, is included.
