The mobil.TUM 2024 conference took place in Munich on April 11, 12 and 13. GEMOTT researchers participated in the presentations, presenting the results of their research.
GEMOTT predoctoral researcher Oriol Roig presented the analysis “Understanding travel strategies of micromobility users: Insights from Barcelona” within the framework of the Mobile.TUM2024 Conference. The research, which explores the mobility strategies of micromobility users in Barcelona, reveals the different degree of complementarity that exists between different emerging modes of transport and traditional means of transport. The conference, which had sustainable mobility and urban planning as a common thread, had a balanced presence of proven academics and researchers in training, with a prominent presence of experts from Germany, France and the Benelux.
GEMOTT researcher Oriol Marquet presented the paper “Dissecting Opposition to the 15-Minute City in the Post-COVID Era” at Mobile.TUM2024. The research proposes a classification of the ideas behind the wave of protests that have taken place against the concept of 15-minute cities worldwide. The conference, which takes place every two years in Munich, has become the reference meeting place for urban planning and sustainable mobility professionals in Europe and has a prominent presence of experts from Germany, France and the Benelux.
