This April, doctoral student Marta Fernández from GEMOTT arrived at the Technical University of Munich to carry out her research stay. The doctoral student from the group has arrived at the Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning at the School of Engineering and Design. The purpose of the stay is to deepen knowledge about accessibility policies focused on proximity, specifically how this new terminology has been arrived at and how these policies are perceived by citizens. The idea is to be able to establish a theoretical framework around this concept and develop a survey to understand citizens’ perceptions of these policies that can be applied to different cities around the world.

We thank Professor Benjamin Büttner for his guidance and support during this stay.
