GEMOTT is pleased to announce that Oriol Marquet has recently been recognized with an Academy of Excellence (formerly ICREA Academy) grant.
This program, promoted by the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya together with AGAUR, aims to intensify the research activity of university professors who are in a phase of expansion of their research, guaranteeing a priority dedication to research during the next five years. This is a highly competitive call, aimed at reinforcing the excellence of the Catalan university and research system.
For GEMOTT, this recognition will allow it to consolidate and maintain high-level research activity in the field of mobility, transport and territory. At the same time, it represents a collective recognition of the sustained work carried out by Oriol Marquet and all the people who have been part of the group over the past few years.
From the group, we especially celebrate that this grant contributes to strengthening the presence of researchers linked to ICREA – Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies in the Department of Geography, ICTA-UAB and the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
