The Growth vs. Climate conference in Barcelona will bring together leading scientists, thinkers, policymakers, activists and journalists to debate the most pressing environmental issues of our time.
The 3-day event will feature academic papers on specific and cross-cutting topics, policy debates and co-creation workshops organized around five social challenges: oceans, land, cities, consumption and policies. It will take place at the Hotel Exe Campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
The study reveals the political dimensions of air pollution in Barcelona. The results show that power structures linked to patriarchy, racism and ageism influence travel habits and NOx emissions. These findings highlight the need for policies that address social inequalities to improve air quality and promote environmental justice.
