On September 16, Carme Miralles-Guasch participated in the conference “La movilidad intergeneracional” in Madrid, organized by the Community of Madrid as part of European Mobility Week 2026.
The conference, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, brought together representatives from public administrations, companies, experts, and professionals from the sector to address some of the main current and future challenges of mobility, with special attention to issues such as accessibility, innovation, safety, and new transport models.
In this context, Carme Miralles participated in the round table “La movilidad intergeneracional”, along with representatives from CONFEBUS, CONFEMAC, and the Spanish Youth Council. The discussion allowed for reflection on the different mobility needs throughout the life cycle and the importance of considering the diverse ways of living, moving, and inhabiting cities and territories.
Carme’s participation in this conference contributes to placing the social and territorial dimension of mobility within the debates on the future of transport, focusing on people’s needs and the necessity of building mobility systems that are accessible and adapted to a diverse society.
This year, European Mobility Week was held from September 16 to 22 and aims to promote more efficient, safe, accessible, and responsible mobility, as well as to encourage public transport, active mobility, and other alternatives to private vehicles.
